National & Disaster Relief

Through our Gulf Coast Mission Team, Wilderness Community Church sends Volunteers in Mission Teams to Louisiana to assist in recovery efforts from the hurricanes that ravaged the Gulf Coast region in 2005.

Our Disaster Relief Mission Team serves throughout the southeastern US in partnership with UMCOR. This group serves between 3-5 days at a time throughout the year as need is required. They also serve locally in the Fredericksburg area with Habitat for Humanity. This group is open for anyone aged 16 and over.

The Wilderness Community Church Youth Ministry exists to reach youth for Christ; to connect with other Christians; to grow in faith; to serve those in need; and to honor God.

PLEASE CHECK BACK SOON FOR UPDATES TO OUR YOUTH MINISTRY IN THIS NEW SEASON!

Our ministry to middle and high school youth is called Extreme Youth. During the school year, Extreme Youth meets weekly at our facility at 10501 Plank Road (Route 3) in Spotsylvania County, unless there are special activities planned.

Our Extreme Youth Missions serves a week long mission trip over the summer months.  This opportunity is available for mature, rising 6th graders through just graduated seniors.  They serve in Virginia every other summer, exchanging it with a service opportunity in nearby states like Maryland, North Carolina, and the mountains of Kentucky/Tennessee, a group favorite.
