At Wilderness Community Church, we believe an essential part of the reason that God has raised us up as a church family is to share a witness for Jesus Christ through acts of lovingkindness as we serve our neighbors, near and far. Wilderness Community Church has focused its missional efforts in three primary areas:

Local -- Through our Wilderness Outreach Mission (WOM) Ministry Team, we seek to serve disadvantaged individuals and families in our local community. WOM serves at the Thurman Brisben Shelter on a monthly basis, preparing meals which they serve to individuals and families who are homeless. WOM hosts drives to collect items for distribution at the Micha House. In addition, WOM conducts monthly food pantry open to individuals and families on a monthly basis.  We also distribute wood for fuel in the fall for those in need, through our Warm-The-Hearth program. WOM also operates an Angel Tree program to serve individuals and families at Christmas. WOM also works with charitable organizations in our community on different programs throughout the year, as needed.

National -- Through our Gulf Coast Mission Team, Wilderness Community Church sends Volunteers in Mission Teams to Louisiana to assist in recovery efforts from the hurricanes that ravaged the Gulf Coast region in 2005.

International -- Wilderness Community Church has a unique partnership with the Quechua Church of Peru, and regularly sends teams to Ayacucho, Peru in the Andes to work alongside our brothers and sisters in Christ who are affiliated with the Quechua Church.
